Albino Reticulated Pythons are arguably the most beautiful Albinos in the world. Now bred in enough numbers to be easily affordable, they are a sight to behold in the flesh, with colors matched only by some butterflies or saltwater fish. The original Albino strain (also known as the Clark Strain) comes in 3 distinct phases- WHite, Lavender, and Purple- which has only recently begun to become fully understood by our breeders here at Prehistoric Pets. The variable phases are actually the result of 2 compatible Albinos expressed in one snake. There is a white phase, and purple phase Albino whose genetic alterations are located on the same allele. When crossed together, they creat a visual Albino that is a intermediate between the two lines, which is a Lavender (as seen in the original Albino). Thus, a white bred to a white will produce all white offspring, and a purple to a purple will produce all purple offspring. crossing a white to a purple will yield all lavenders, and two lavenders bred together will produce all 3 color phases in the same clutch.
